As the eagerly awaited festival of Raksha Bandhan 2023 approaches, a viral video has been making rounds on social media platforms, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to gift Rs 3000 to every woman as part of a scheme introduced by the Central Government.
The video in question suggests that PM Modi will bestow a Rakhi gift of Rs 3000 per month to all women across the country, as a component of a novel scheme initiated by the government. According to this purported scheme, every woman in the nation would be entitled to receive Rs 3000 per month.
A video shared by a Facebook user under the name TNF Today was captioned, “Modi gifts Rakshabandhan to sisters; every woman will get three thousand rupees.” This video propagated the notion that a special scheme commencing on Raksha Bandhan 2023 would provide Rs 3000 to every woman in India.
Fact Check: Is PM Modi Offering Rs 3000 to Every Woman?
However, these assertions regarding a scheme initiated by PM Modi for women during Raksha Bandhan 2023 are entirely baseless. The viral video circulating on social media is misleading and, in reality, pertains to a scheme introduced by the government of Madhya Pradesh.
The video references a scheme known as Ladli Behna Yojana. After conducting a keyword search on Google, it was uncovered that the actual name of this scheme is Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, and the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government has launched it.
Under the provisions of this scheme implemented by the Madhya Pradesh government, Rs 1000 will be provided to every woman in the state to enhance their economic status, access to healthcare, and educational opportunities. It’s crucial to note that this scheme is unrelated to Raksha Bandhan and has been operational for several years.
