National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Granted Deemed University Status

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has been granted the status of deemed university by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The announcement was made on the occasion of the 63rd foundation day of NCERT in New Delhi.

With this status, NCERT will be able to offer graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. It will also be able to collaborate with other universities and research institutions to promote educational research and innovation.

In his address, Pradhan said that the deemed university status will help NCERT to play a more proactive role in shaping the future of education in India. He also called for the merging of Bal Bhavans and Bal Vatika with NCERT to provide holistic education to children.
